Next time you feel self-conscious about how you look when you are "just going to the store" ask yourself if you will end up on this site. Smiley

Some of those are truly disturbing.  I remember seeing one of a woman in a genuine red Nazi flag sweatshirt in one of these Wal-mart collections.  And the one of the guy who had evidently "browned" himself walking unconcernedly in the freezer aisle....yikes (I REALLY hope he just sat down in someone's melted chocolate).  All the more reason why I never shop there.

The problem is Azeroth doesn't have the resources to keep up with soul inflation. The player population increased from 11 million to 11.5 million but during the same time the number of souls increased by 20%. I'm not supposed to tell you this, but it's a system on the brink of collapse.  Faal

It doesn't say as much about the store as it does about how people are willing to go out and be seen in public.  I've seen equally absurd presentations in public at the pedestrian mall downtown or at our local grocery store.  It's just one location where you can observe people.

True, but Wal-mart always has a special aura of despair and an unusual concentration of pathology.

While the General Pathology that can be referenced from our local walmart is intersting, I also find the demographics intriguing. ALL TYPES go to Walfart. What we need is the paradox photograph... I want to see the person taking the pictures and then we can get the full story Smiley

It also brings home how anyone can be taking your picture at anytime and posting it on the web.  I'm not sure I'd be happy to come across a picture or video of myself on the web taken on one of those crappy days when I am most definitely not at my best.  Digital photography has been around a while now, but the ability to have teeny and non obvious cell phone cameras/camcorders that actually take recognizable pictures or videos is relatively recent...at least by the way I measure time.

It used to be when you saw someone wearing something completely inappropriate or with an embarrassing stain, had the "moon" hanging out the top of their pants (why don't some people notice when their butt cracks are exposed.....wouldn't they feel a draft?) or doing something horrible in public (like puking or having a screaming fight or something), you turned your head and tried to forget about it...now people take pictures and post them with clever captions.

One of my grad school chum's husbands (he was sort of a lout) had a story about a friend from his hometown who was really drunk one night and they all went bowling.  The guy farted really hard (on purpose the way many guys like to for some reason) and had a "skid" mark on the back of his shorts all evening.  They almost peed themselves laughing because the guy didn't notice and kept on bowling.  You know they'd tape it with a cell phone camera and put it on youtube if it happened today.

So I laugh but also cringe......what if it's me with the toilet paper stuck on my shoe (or some such thing) some day in public and some jokester is nearby with a camera?

And the moral is.....always check to make sure you are not wearing soccer ball undies underneath see through white shorts.
